  • How much does therapy cost?

I believe in transparency. That means no hidden fees or surprise charges! I do my best to offer affordable counseling for teens and adults throughout Washington state. My standard rate is $165 for a 50-minute session.

I understand that this is an investment in your health and future, so I offer a FREE 15-minute phone consultation to see if we are a good fit.

  • Do you offer a sliding scale / discounted fees?

I am a firm believer that finances should not be a barrier to receiving quality care.

For individuals who can not afford my standard fee, I hold limited sliding scale/discounted fee slots . Please contact me to see if you qualify.

  • How do I pay for therapy?

Acceptable forms of payment include cash, credit/debit card and HSA (Health Savings Accounts). Payment is due at the end of each session.

Credit card payments are processed through Stripe, a HIPAA secure platform.

  • Do you accept insurance?

I am unable to accept insurance at this time, but I am happy to provide a Superbill (receipt for services) upon request. While I can provide a Superbill, I do not work directly with insurance companies and can not guarantee reimbursement.

Some insurance companies reimburse for Out-of-Network (OON) services, so please check with your provider to confirm coverage for associate (LMHCA) clinicians.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

When you book your appointment, you are holding a space on my calendar that is no longer available to other clients. If you are unable to make your scheduled appointment, I ask that you let me know at least 48 hours before your session time in order to give me time to schedule someone else.

For late cancellations and no-shows, the full session fee may be charged.

  • How long does therapy last?

Depending on your specific needs, therapy typically lasts between 3 months to 2 years. During our first session, we will discuss the appropriate frequency and length for your needs.

Long-term therapy is recommended for unique situations such as chronic illness, personality disorders and severe mental illness.

  • What do all the letters after your name mean?

LMHCA stands for Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate. This means that I have completed my MA level training and am working towards licensure. I am practicing under the supervision of Dr. Jeffery Baird, Psychologist (#PY00002501).
